Stoke are negotiating to sign West Ham United Carlton Cole striker and former Defender Jonathan Woodgate, the club Tottenham have confirmed.
Cole has been linked with a move to Stoke from relegation hammers of Premier League and an agreement could now completed, for an initial amount of approximately 4.5 million pounds.
Stoke Chairman Peter Coates, said: "Cole is a player the club and Tony pulis has liked him for a long time, we believe that it is a very good player."

Meanwhile, Coates admitted free agent Woodgate, who was released by the Spurs this summer after two seasons injury-hit, is relevant to the club for a pay-as-you-play agreement.
