The President of River Plate Daniel Passarella confirmed that erik Lamela is set to join Roma.
Lamela, 19, is considered one of the best young talent in South America and was expected to leave the river after their relegation.
After a meeting Saturday between Passarella, the Lamela father, Roma Sports Director Walter Sabatini and River Plate Daniel Crespo lawyer, a move was accepted and the player is set to sign his contract in the near future.
