Shearer: Newcastle must spend money Carroll

Legend of Newcastle Alan Shearer believes that the club to spend a part of 35 million pounds from the sale of Andy Carroll on an another top striker of the page.

Shearer, who took charge of the club before their relegation two years ago, has been disappointed by the decision of the Council on Carroll, but warned that there could be bad to come if they are not in some new blood.

The magpies have, so far, added that only Demba Ba to their team on a free transfer from West Ham - then the scorer of the club last season, Kevin Nolan, was sold at the Upton Park club.

"Everyone was obviously disappointed that Andy Carroll left", Shearer told the daily mirror. "But it was understandable when you look at the money they received for him - 35 m of £ is a hell of lot of money.

"Of course, you do not want to lose your best players and Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan were probably two Newcastle players." I would be surprised if they do not go out and spend more money.

"I hope that they do so because they had a decent season back in Premier League." If they can improve again next season - is that all the fans want. "Last season was decent and now supporters will search for Alan Pardew take it in the top 10.
