And Serie A could be moving in the same direction, after representatives of all 20 clubs in Serie met Monday to reaffirm their request for the League to sign a new contract.

The AIC has stated that the League has still not signed an agreement with the players of the year last summer, intense negotiations in which strikes were twice avoided narrowly.
